The piñata story is the funniest thing I’ve read in weeks.

We had a toddler's birthday party this weekend as well. Aleister, my nephew, turned two and we celebrated yesterday. It took him only one demonstration before he got the hang of ripping off the wrapping paper. It's so satisfying, giving him gifts -- when he sees it he says, "Oh wow! Oh wow!" and then, if he knows the name of it, he says that ("booka!" for book). Kids are so darn cool! Xmas is going to be even more fun this year, seeing it anew through the eyes of a two-year-old.

I was doing a search for "piņata butt," and this is what came up. See, I made up this disease called Piņata Butt, caused by the bacteria baccilococcus piniatus, in which the butt becomes covered with a brightly colored, crepe-paper like fungus. The only cure for piņata butt is to have the infected butt beaten with a stick until all the fungus has disappeared. The beating process may take several days. We may know more about this bizarre disease in the future.
