Argh! I am a Scheduling Ninny

I happened to glance at my airline ticket. The one which is taking me to Worldcon.

It cheerfully indicated that I am arriving at 9 pm on Thursday.

"Oh, ticket," I said. "Oh, ticket, this is not right. This will not do at all! For I have a Panel at Six P.M.!!"

The ticket looked sympathetic, yet unyielding.

Argh!

A Good Mail Day

In the mail today:

• My bank statement; which is nice, as I just moved to a bank in the building where I work. Ah, access.


• A check from Blowfish, for "Duet", which will appear in Blowing Kisses


• A letter from Jack Dann, asking to buy reprint rights for "Droplet" for an anthology he's editing with Gardner Dozois, tentatively entitled "Robots"


• A bill from the hospital at Rehoboth, where I was taken by ambulance with a jellyfish bite

Writing about the future

I am having a whale of a time debating many of the finest minds of science fiction over at Jed's place.

I spend so much time reading message boards and kind of mildly conceding to myself that everyone involved has a point, that I love it when I feel strongly about a radical position no one else seems to share.
